Night and Day Difference from Other Storage FacilitiesAfter dealing with a frustrating experience at Storage King here in Roanoke, I was honestly expecting more of the same, but this place completely changed that. From the start, everything was handled the way it should be. The process was smooth, communication was clear, and I was able to get everything set up without wasting time or jumping through hoops. No confusion, no runaround, just straightforward service.Customer service here is on a completely different level. I was treated with respect, not talked over, and every question I had was answered professionally. That alone made a huge difference compared to what I dealt with elsewhere.David, who helped me, was outstanding. As a fellow military veteran, I really appreciated his professionalism, respect, and the way he carried himself. You can tell he takes pride in helping people and doing things the right way.I also appreciated the transparency. No surprise charges, no pressure to add extras, and everything was explained upfront so I knew exactly what I was agreeing to.The facility itself is clean, secure, and well maintained, which gave me real confidence storing my classic Mustang there. When you’re trusting a place with a vehicle like that, security and upkeep matter, and this place checks all the boxes.Overall, this was a night and day difference from Storage King. If you’re looking for a storage facility that actually values your time and treats you like a customer should be treated, this is the place to go.Semper Fidelis 🇺🇸

I have rented a unit at this facility for some time. Recently, the current staff began threatening to cut my lock and add extra fees before the legal deadline, despite my intent to pay the past-due balance on time. Under the Virginia Self-Service Storage Act, these pre-deadline fees are not required, and I have documented my communication. While previous staff were professional and cooperative, the current employee’s aggressive approach felt unnecessary and stressful. It seems the facility shows little flexibility or understanding when tenants face difficulties, focusing instead on fees and scare tactics. As soon as I am able, I plan to move my belongings to another storage facility. I hope management ensures future communications follow proper legal timelines.

I needed a spot for my camper, called Rent a Space and was quickly set up w a spot. On arriving a week or so later, my spot was available and easily accessible. I was thrilled with the efficiency and professionalism. Hopefully another spot will be available when I next need storage!

The rental process was super easy and smooth. I ran into a problem with my gate code not working, but I just called up a really nice rep who gave me a temporary code that did the trick. The next morning, the manager reached out to check if everything was sorted, and my original code worked like a charm. Honestly, any hiccups were handled really well, and the whole experience was better than I expected.

Without the manager Lori, this place would not be as amazing. It certainly the basic standard rent a space storage facility. But clearly the manager knows very much how to treat people. From the time that I walked in and just had a conversation with her, from the time that I signed a contract and all the other times, she is respectful and does her job with great integrity. He walked me to check things out and pick the right location. I was very pleased with how she treated me. I have a nice location and it's a standard unit. There's no temperature control and even on cold days it can get a little warm in the unit. People are genuinely nice and there doesn't seem to be any issues or problems with anything at this location. I am very happy and satisfied and plan to stay. I will recommend to others. They're affordable and I have a lot of respect for Lori.

Property manager was extremely polite when he called. He showed concerns on my unit not being locked yet and asked if I had started moving in. After clarifying that I had not moved anything in, he expressed relief, knowing that I hadn't lost my items. He offered a lock at a discount and explained the protection provided by the facility. Again, he was very polite and professional. I feel like I chose the right place to store my belongings.

Decent storage unit. However they constantly are raising prices. Nearly doubled in the past 2 years. It went from $65 to $105/month for a 5×15. Basically a door n 15 feet deep. They also have changed the entrance/exits to one fairly narrow passage. They leave the entrance gate open (at least during office hrs). In all honesty They are charging more and providing less but my stuff in storage was safe.

I rented a unit with this company because I was losing my home, I needed access to my belongings when it was convenient for me, because I do a lot of travel with my job, and work long hours. I received a message stating that I would not longer be able to access my belongings when it was a good time for me, but when this company thinks it's a good time for the company. The manager told me to my face that only a select few would have access. If I could give this company a lower rating than one star, I would definitely do it. I had to sign a contract with this company, and I know that if I would have violated the policy I would have been fined or removed from the property, but it's ok for this company to break the contract. I have nothing good to say about this business, other than buyer beware.

21:21 13 Aug 23

I've had storage units for the past 10 years now I've rented from places in other states and several places here in Virginia and by my experiences the office manager at the rent a space named Joshua went above and beyond his duties to help me make sure that I was taking care of anytime I would call and have any type of issues or even just questions Joshua was readily available to help me and always did more than his job duties could require I would recommend rent a space to any body that I knew the customer service their own point with everything more than friendly always ready to help and available and I appreciate that more than anything else. In this day and age and so many people do things online and huge companies are taking over it's hard to find that customer service that we used to have but with this place they still believe in helping the customer.
